BORN AND RAISED

Born and raised in East Vancouver, Phé fell in love with the arts at an early age, taking the stage as a dancer, actress, and singer. To hone her craft, she attended the Sarah McLachlan School of Music throughout high school, before attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Throughout her time there, Phé sang background vocals for projects including Marianas Trench, and Aloe Blacc’s hit single “The Man”. Before long, she found herself yearning to tell her own stories. Inspired by the strength of her childhood idols and female powerhouses like Erykah Badu, Sade, and Lauryn Hill, Phé began exploring her own artistry - a journey that led to a refinement of progressed songwriting skills, and eventually, a full development of her unique style that is so undeniably, Phé.

THE SOUND

Phé sound combines a refreshing, smooth, contemporary R&B feel, reminiscent of female artists well before her time. The recent EP features production work from MOMBRU on her earliest release, “Incredible” in May 2016, and showcases her ever-present poetic style and raw lyricism not typically seen from such a young artist. “About Us” followed, a clearly 90s-inspired song of self-empowerment and growth. Phé is currently working on her debut EP Crisis, slated for release later this year.
